I don't know what's the point in running XP if you get a pc with lower specifications than lets say 800 Mhz and less than 256 Mb Ram. XP asks too much memory to even run smoothly. Another thing is some people only play outlaws and yet they change from 98 or ME to XP just for the looks of it. You should run the OS what suits your pc use. No sense in running xp if you got an old crappy cpu. For the newests pc's you have to run xp or ME to get a good support for the inside parts.

The things i found helped to run OL in windows XP was these following things: 1) make sure vsync is "enabled" so that the players wont flash 2)Choose windows 98 in the compatability option and run it in 256 colours 3) make sure u have the latest drivers for ur 3d card 4)disable any hotkeys for windows XP so that u wont get booted from game whilst u are in the middle of it (i.e after u press more than 3buttons at once, or the shift key for a period of more than 10seconds) 5) Use MGL drivers for hardwear accelerated video mode, that helped a lot even though it decreased my fps a little bit, but at least it stoped the players flashing all together Thats about all i can remember for now, if i can remember anything else, ill let u know Laters, Burn
